Korean Kangaroo LED Lamp

Light is something you need in your life to lighten the darkness. The light sculptures are very beautiful, unique, and visually stunning to most people, which is what inspired me to design something with lights.

My intention for this project was to create a symbolic light sculpture that is meaningful and communicates something to the public. This sculpture lamp explores the cultures of both Korea and Australia. The Korean letters and the native Australian kangaroo meld together to bridge the cultural connection between Australia and Korea. The jumping pose of the kangaroo symbolises the bright successful future of the two countries. This project was a part of the Design and Technology major work and was selected for the Shape 2018 exhibition.
